« Pulse to Pulse » Stability Analyzer
Pulsed signals are not usually the kind of signals that fit well a traditional phase noise analysis because those instruments tend to average the signal and loose the exact intra-pulse location information.
When amplifying a signal, the TWT or Solid State amplifier will heat and affect the phase and amplitude in each pulse. If the duration of the pulse or the dead time in-between pulses changes, the phase variation and amplitude droop will describe another profile.
Our Pulse to Pulse analyzers offer both intra pulse analysis and pulse to pulse measurements. With a few milli-degrees of RMS phase noise and about 10 milli-dB of amplitude droop, those instruments are well ahead of Radar testing needs.
Single or Dual channel versions are available with 80 MHz bandwidth analysis providing simultaneous Phase and Amplitude measurements on Stagger, Sequence or normal repetitive pulse trains.
